Maker of the FourTrack multitrack audio recorder iPhone App, Sonoma Wire Works last week has released the InstantDrummer iPhone App which includes customizable drum loops to easily built drum tracks with.

Heartbreaker is first in a series of InstantDrummer iPhone Apps that will soon be available in various genres. Jason McGerr, the acclaimed drummer for pop-rock band Death Cab for Cutie, recorded Heartbreaker on his signature Ludwig drum kit in his Seattle based studio, Two Sticks Audio. Hayden Bursk of Drummerheads was the producer. Originally recorded at 72 BPM, the 130 MB of pop-rock drum recordings are said to still sound OK above 150 BPM.

Pick a groove by Jason McGerr, tap in a tempo, and InstantDrummer inspires you to play along with continuously varying drum tracks using perfectly matched, full kit studio drum recordings. Spin the Intensity wheel to set the mood from mellow to aggressive. Use the variation slider to get a constantly evolving beat. Ambience adds room sound and gain sets the level. InstantDrummer automatically plays fills on the last bar of a section. No tedious editing, just a great drummer - ready to jam. Build drum tracks for songs using the part sequencer, then WiFi sync the WAV files to any computer.
