IPAD APP: STUDIOTRACK

With the iPad available from US stores starting today, the first music apps are sipping in as well :)

StudioTrack is an eight track songwriting tool for musicians who want to capture musical ideas and record songs on the iPad.

It works with the iPad built-in microphone and headphones, while WiFi sync allows StudioTrack recordings to be downloaded to any desktop computer with a browser. The Bounce track allows you to mixdown any song to track 1 and 2 of a new song to record as many tracks as you want.

Every StudioTrack channel includes a reverb send and a configurable effects rack which can be configured with a set of effects. Options include a tempo-synched double delay, a 4 band parametric EQ with Hi-Shelf, Hi-Peak, Lo-Peak and Lo-Shelf filters, a 1 band peaking parametric EQ and a compressor.

The master channel has a Reverb Return knob as well as a parametric EQ and a stereo master compressor limiter.

StudioTrack is developed by Sonoma Wire Works along with Retronyms, the team who also brought us the FourTrack iPhone recorder app.

StudioTrack multitrack recorder for iPad is now available on iTunes for just under 40 dollars.
