Dell has taken thin to an all-new level in performance with its new “Z” model laptops. Featuring thinner, lighter bodies, longer-lasting batteries and performance - the recently introduced Inspiron 14z and 15z feature wide-screen displays, hard-drive storage up to 500GB (7200 rpm) and RAM capacity up to 8GB (DDR3, 1066 MHz.
These thinnest-ever models of Dell’s consumer laptop PC, are slim enough to fit in any bag, and feature the newest Intel Core Solo 2 ultra-low voltage processors for extended entertainment capability and Web surfing. The special Studio versions of the 14z laptops feature a 4-watt 2.0 SRS audio and discrete tweeters. As these Studio versions come without internal optical drive, an external optical drive is optional for these models.
“People who want mobility, value, great performance and easy Internet access have made Inspiron our most popular consumer brand,” said Glen Robson, general manager Dell consumer laptops. “These new, thin, lighter-weight systems offer all-day performance with the latest Intel power-saving processors.”
For the real power hungry Dell now also lists the new Dell Studio 15 laptop, featuring optional Intel Core i7 Mobile Processors. Not from the Z-series (wich come in standard colors) but still lean and mean, you can personalize these models with your favorite design from Dell Design Studio. Interactively view and select from hundreds of designs, artists, colors and patterns - and turn your Studio 15 laptop into a fashion accessory. Images are permanently “tattooed” into the lid, making the design not just cool but durable too.
