KDDI is a Japanese telecommunications operator and provides mobile cellular services in Japan using the "au by KDDI" brand.
Yamaha has teamed up with their design team, au Design, to introduce some revolutionary prototypes which are having a tremendous impact on trends in mobile phone design.
Their new project is about a new series of cellular phone prototypes that also function as musical instruments. With "interaction" as the theme of the project, you can easily turn your phone into a brass instrument, drum sticks, piano, or string instrument.
The six prototypes currently being showed by them are called "Band in My Pocket", "Trio in your Hand", "Box to Play", "Sticks in the Air", "Key to Touch" and "Strings for Fingers".
