MUSICGRID ANDROID SEQUENCER

Technically a step sequencer, MusicGrid was inspired by the funky Tenori-on and the great online ToneMatrix.

With multiple grid sizes, sounds and tempos, operation is a breeze. Press play and start pushing grid-buttons to compose your groove. MusicGrid generates its own tones from a palette of four synth sound types.

Although MusicGrid is capable of laying down an interesting groove in minutes and is addictive to play around with, it lacks some basic functionalities to call it an instrument.

You can't import/export sounds or grooves, and can't even save the sequences you've made! Other things missing are a loop function and the possibility to shift pitch so you have access to more octaves.

Released half a year ago, MusicGrid free edition was good for starters.

Android Market reports over 50.000 downloads for this App. Let's hope this will inspire the developer to make the next step.
