 OP-1

Meet the OP-1. The all-in-one portable synthesizer, sampler and controller from Teenage Engineering in Sweden that fits right there next to the laptop in your bag. It's that portable :)

You've probably seen it already as it's being used in Swedish House Mafia's new video for their club anthem 'One (Your Name)' featuring Pharrell (YouTube).

The track is awesome and so is the video! What a perfect way to showcase and promote this new product. Now you know the name, it's One, the OPerator-1.

The OP-1 was first revealed at the MusikMesse in Frankfurt, Germany and also presented at NAMM in Los Angeles earlier this year and has had great previews so far.

The OP-1 looks really slick. It could be designed by a Japanese firm but it isn't. The interface is color coded and holds a color LCD display which makes it all very user friendly and easy to use.

Apart from the synthesizer, midi controller and a sampler it holds some additional features like an FM Radio (which they say is "an unexpected tool for creating beats and sounds") and a G-Force sensor for pitch and bend effects. But there's more, such as a built-in Tape recorder. Watch all the demos!

From what we understand the OP-1 is still under development. In case you want to know more about this beautiful piece of engineering please visit the website below to read more about OP-1's main features, technical details and other specs.
