Fri, June 01, 2007
Playsonic (working title) is a project where "Video Art meets Gaming and DJing" using a game controller. The system builds upon an A/V Synth controlled via a Logitech gamepad, generating video through Quartz Composer and audio through Ableton Live. The graphics were inspired by the Interface Design of Battlestar Galactica.

Used for the Playsonic project are a Playstation 2 Game Controller, Steinberg's Junxion (to convert USB to MIDI messages), Quartz Composer (development tool provided with Mac OS X v10.4 for processing and rendering graphical data) and Ableton Live (loop-based software music sequencer).
