PitchPerfect is a software guitar tuner with a very simple to use interface. A common limitation with other guitar tuners is that you are constrained to tune your instrument to some kind of conventional tuning. With its ability to automatically detect whatever note you are playing PitchPerfect eliminates this limitation. This means you are not constrained by standard tunings, or even well known alternative tunings. You can tune your strings quickly and easily to any note you want!
PitchPerfect will display the closest note to the note you are playing. It will indicate whether you are sharp or flat using the light display on the main screen. If you are exactly in tune then the centre light will turn green. If you are flat then the lights to left will illuminate. If you are sharp then the lights to the right will illuminate. The window to left indicates the note you are currently tuning to. The number next to the note indicates which octave your note is in. Can't get any simpler!
You will notice when you first pluck a guitar string that it may start out a little sharp and then drop in pitch. This is expected. Tune your guitar to the sustained note, not the first strike of the string.

PitchPerfect's installer recommends some other programs to be installed on your computer as well. Just unclick any program you don't want and go ahead. Pretty cool for guitar playing laptoprockers!
