Digital music technology company INCOREP debuted its CP3 digital music format and Vocoo social music platform at the SF MusicTech Summit in San Francisco on Monday.

Vocoo's CP3 technology is web-based and has the unique ability to isolate the vocals from a song's background music track, allowing users to actively adjust the vocal volume of their favorite songs during playback and to replace the vocals with their own voices using an iPhone, Android or a PC.

New file format
CP3 files can be played, controlled and recorded on using Vocoo's CP3 STUDIO application, available for PC, iPhone/iPod touch and Android phones. Once recorded, CP3's are re-saved as traditional MP3's for listening using iTunes or other music players and mobile devices. The used file format maintains the superior sound quality of the original music.

Vocoo allows users to interact with today's hottest songs and produce the highest quality recordings from a single music file. Vocoo's CP3 converter is unique because it retains a song's original accompaniment, an achievement that conventional vocal removers cannot accomplish, while Karaoke music uses reproduced audio tracks, not the original.

Social Music Platform
The Vocoo social music platform also provides unique online tools that enable users to add creative elements such as pictures and video to their music files, allowing them to easily create and share their songs and videos on Twitter, Facebook or YouTube. Vocoo’s technology team continually monitors the U.S. music charts to ensure the hottest songs are available for conversion to CP3. More than 1,700 songs are currently available for conversion, with 5-10 songs added daily.
