No more flaws - Always mix in key

ALWAYS MIX IN KEY

Sun, February 24, 2008
Want to avoid key clashes in your DJ sets? Mixed In Key is PC/Mac software enabling DJ's to use a technique called harmonic mixing.

It would be cool if we had a software program that would suggest tracks on my harddrive that are in key with the current track playing. Does Mixed In Key do this?

"The built in browser in Mixed In Key can organize your music files according to key. You can look at "Browse Collection" and find music that sounds perfect with your currently-playing track."

Can it analyze MP3's on the fly (while mixing) or is it necessary to analyze all files beforehand?

"Due to the necessity of an online connection it is best to analyze files ahead of time. Most of our DJs use Mixed In Key as a "homework" tool. We buy music online, scan it with Mixed In Key, and we're ready to play live!"

How can a software "see or hear" the key of a music file? Does it ever make mistakes?

"Our algorithm was developed in conjunction with several professional musicians, so it is trained to “hear” music the way that a real person would. Since the algorithm thinks like a professional musician, it does a great job of making harmonic mixing easy for talented DJs. We have many fans in the pro DJ community. For example, Pete Tong uses Mixed In Key for his BBC Radio 1 shows, and Ali Dubfire used it for his Global Underground 31 album. We're very happy with the quality of our latest version. We welcome all DJs to try Mixed In Key and enjoy the benefits of harmonic mixing right away."

As an added bonus, lifetime updates are available to everyone who purchases the product. You get free downloads forever.
