Intrigued by the company's name? Jim Barry: "Many years ago I was struggling to find a company name that was unique and sounded good. "During this gestation period, my only daughter Catriona, who was on a student tour around South America called on the phone to let us know she was OK. During the call I asked her where she was staying and she said she was in Machu Pichu in the High Andes. The name 'HighAndes' just immediately clicked with me and I told her that I had now found the name that had eluded me."

Simple story, with a happy ending! Coming back from her trip, Catriona joined the company :)
